Does Bare Necessities contain Sugar and why does it contain sugar?

Yes, there is 4g of sugar per serving that comes from organic coconut palm sugar. When formulating this, I wanted it to have the least amount of sugar it could have while still tasting good! I used coconut palm sugar because it has a much lower glycemic index than regular sugar. This means that it allows for a much lower and slower rise in blood sugar.
